A few weeks ago we wrote about why we love photographing weddings close to home — and over the last year, three more local venues have become firm favourites: Banney Royd Hall, Manor House Lindley, and 315 in Lepton. One thing they all have in common? Brilliant outdoor space.
Banney Royd Hall
Banney Royd Hall on Halifax Road is a genuinely spectacular building — a Grade I listed Arts & Crafts hall designed by Edgar Wood in 1901, with stained glass, oak panelling and intricate carvings throughout. The gardens give plenty of room for relaxed portraits away from the main event.

Manor House Lindley
Manor House Lindley was recently named one of the UK's Top 50 Boutique Hotels, and its gardens — including the Coach House — are a beautiful spot for photos as the light starts to fade in the evening.

315, Lepton
315 sits just outside Huddersfield in Lepton, with landscaped gardens and views across the surrounding countryside that make for some lovely golden-hour shots.

Why outdoor space matters
Whatever the venue, having outdoor space to work with makes a real difference — it gives couples a few quiet minutes away from the day, and us the chance to capture relaxed, natural portraits in good light. It's one of the things we love about each of these venues.
We'll be sharing more from each of these weddings soon, including dedicated pages for each venue. In the meantime, take a look at our packages and prices, or check our availability for your date. You can also read more about why we love photographing weddings close to home.
