We're in the Photographer of the Year finals!

Updated: Nov 13, 2020

We are over the moon to announce that we've been nominated as one of the Photographers of the Year in the I Do Magazine Wedding Awards!

Thank you, thank you, thank you to all those past clients who nominated us! We are absolutely thrilled!

I Do Magazine is the Vogue of wedding magazines, a luxurious annual which couples treasure. It is read by over 30,000 brides and grooms every year and is widely considered as the couple's bible when finding out the very best local wedding suppliers.

Over the last 10 years, I Do Magazine has grown to become a household name in the wedding community throughout Yorkshire and Humberside and the Midlands. Along with the magazine, I Do hosts four of the largest and most prestigious one-day wedding exhibitions of their kind in the country.

The Award ceremony was supposed to have been held back in May 2020, but has been postponed to November 2020 because of the Coronavirus outbreak. We are digging out or tuxedos and practising our acceptance speeches in preparation for the awards themselves!

The I Do Magazine Wedding Awards are the ‘People’s Awards’ and, as such, are decided entirely by the votes of the happy couples who have personally used us and voted for us.

The I Do Wedding Awards are a marker of a truly great supplier. Wherever a couple see an "I Do finalist" or winners logo, they instantly know they are getting top quality service and are about to work with a wedding supplier who has been highly recommended by other brides and grooms.

The awards evening for 2020, will once again be celebrated at Sheffield City Hall. Each company in the shortlist will be presented with a finalists certificate and of course each category winner will be announced and presented with their winners award and certificate by the evenings hostess Celebrity and DJ Stephanie Hirst and Managing Director of the I Do Magazine, Richard Wilson.

In the voting process, each voter gives a score between one and 10 in each of the five quality measures.

The quality measures are as follows:

  • Quality of expertise, advice and guidance received

  • Quality of customer service received

  • Quality of service/product supplied

  • Value for money

  • Above and beyond expectations

Paul Walker Photography, in getting into the finals of the I Do Magazine Awards 2020, has repeatedly demonstrated high scores in all of the above categories. So when you book us as your wedding photographer - you know you are going to get the best!
