There's something special about a summer wedding — long evenings, golden light, and the chance to get outdoors for portraits without worrying too much about the weather.

Making the most of the light
The hour or so before sunset is when the light is at its best — soft, warm, and flattering for portraits. We always try to build a bit of time into the day for this, even if it's just a few minutes away from the reception.
Outdoors all day
Gardens, fields, and anywhere with a bit of greenery all make lovely natural backdrops — and with good light, even simple settings can produce some of our favourite shots of the day.
