Briars Hall Wedding Photography

Originally an 18th century country manor house, Briars Hall combines old-fashioned charm with modern comfort and service. Set in five acres of mature gardens and woodland, it was the venue Nicola and Mark chose for their wedding in June.

The venue

Briars Hall's grounds give a real sense of scale — five acres is enough space to move between formal portraits near the manor house and more relaxed shots further into the woodland without ever feeling cramped. The building itself carries its 18th-century history well, with plenty of period detail to work with indoors when the weather doesn't cooperate.

Highlights from the day

Nicola and Mark's June wedding made full use of the gardens, with the warm summer light bringing out the best in the mature trees and planting throughout the grounds. It's exactly the kind of venue where the setting does a lot of the work for a photographer — we just needed to be in the right place.

Our approach
