Halifax and the Calderdale valley are somewhere we feel very much at home. Just a short drive from our base in Kirkheaton, it's an area we've photographed weddings in for years — from the grand stone manor houses tucked into the hillsides to contemporary venues in the town itself.

A mix of venues worth knowing

Halifax has a genuinely varied wedding scene. Holdsworth House is one of our long-standing favourites — a 17th century manor house with beautiful grounds that works in every season.

The Arches offers something more contemporary and dramatic, while Moorlands Inn sits above the town with views that come into their own on a clear day. The Venue Bowers Mill is another we know well — a beautifully restored industrial space that suits couples who want something a little different from the traditional hotel setting.
