The Tipis at Riley Green Wedding Photography

Olivia and Liam married at Brindle St James Church near Chorley on a bright afternoon, then brought their guests to The Tipis at Riley Green for a reception that ran from golden hour straight through to the dancefloor. It's one of our favourite venues to shoot — open, relaxed, and built for exactly the kind of natural coverage we love.

The venue

The Tipis at Riley Green sits on private grounds in the Lancashire countryside, with four connected tipis surrounded by meadow and open sky. The scale works in a couple's favour: guests spread out rather than crowding into one room, so the day breathes. For photography, that means genuine candid moments rather than everyone facing the same direction at once. The canvas and timber structure also does something clever with light — soft and warm well into the evening, which is where a lot of our favourite shots from Olivia and Liam's day came from.

Our approach

We kept things unobtrusive throughout — no directing guests into poses, no interrupting speeches for a better angle. Olivia and Liam wanted a day that felt like their own party rather than a photoshoot, and The Tipis at Riley Green's relaxed layout made that easy.
